Help the world listen better.”
The Listener Comes First
Sonos's design ethos revolves around creating products that boast a versatile user experience.
By combining bespoke engineering and seamless software, they make their mark in the sonic culture.

“We work together for months, tinkering with different parts and trying to harmonize across design, acoustics, software, and even packaging.”
- Camille Zaba,

A Harmonized Ecosystem
Sonos' lineup represent dynamic cohesion. Products share a strong fundamental design backbone, usually through:
• Superior sound quality
• Sleek, minimalist design
• User-friendly interfaces
• Robust connectivity and compatibility
• Commitment to sustainability and longevity

Subtly Sexy
By drawing inspiration from their current product lineup, let's establish some design parameters for the phone's form and details.
Gentle Patterns
Sleek Materials
Streamlined Shapes
What specific forms and functions can we pull from Sonos' design DNA?
Trueplay Analysis
Trueplay analyzes room size, layout, décor, speaker placement, and any other acoustic factors that can impact sound quality
This feature would pair well with a more mobile product such as a smart phone.
Pill Motif
A few products in Sonos' current lineup feature a pill shaped indent in which the controls are seated.
Eras 300 Silhouette
I took form inspiration from their Eras 300 speaker.

Function Forward
Imagine a phone with a dedicated speaker mode, making those impromptu dance parties more boppin!

A New Sonic Culture
Sonos Go isn't your traditional folding phone.

Full Range Bliss
Sonos Go sports a full range speaker body in it's back half along with a wireless charging pad and rear camera.

Powerful Sound,
Unparalleled Flexibility.
The physical split reveals a secondary planar magnetic speaker, enhancing the audio with detail and clarity.

Planar Magnetic
Speaker
Planar magnetic speakers offer wider sound dispersion and a larger sweet spot. They're ideal for larger listening areas creating a more immersive experience.

Let's Talk Control
Following Sonos' current solutions, the side buttons are haptic touch and all housed within the pill shaped hinge.
Intuitive Positioning
When in Speaker Mode, the Gesture Bar is naturally positioned on top, turning into a media Control Deck.

Form is Function
The indented side profile that runs along the entire phone creates the feet of the Speaker Mode.

Trueplay Capabilities
Turning on Speaker Mode would run Trueplay to analyze the phone's new surroundings and adjust accordingly

Playful CMF
Sonos Go comes in five playful yet sleek colors, similar to their current portable speaker, Roam 2.
